This is Thoughts in Tremolo — a digital collection of thoughts relating to music releases, books I’m reading and everything and all inbetween.

Bio

I work in IT within a social housing environment, where reliability and clarity matter just as much as the technology itself. My focus is on systems, automation, and cutting through unnecessary complexity—building solutions that are practical, repeatable, and actually useful in the real world.

Outside of work, I tend to follow the same instinct: understand things properly and explore them in depth. That shows up across a mix of interests—history, books, films, and TV—usually approached with a focus on context, detail, and how things evolve over time rather than just surface-level takes.

I’ve also been producing music since 2013 under the names Alalu and Horus. It’s a different discipline, but the same mindset applies: building something from the ground up, refining it, and paying attention to the small details that make it work. You can find my work here: https://alalu.bandcamp.com/

This blog is a place to document that mix—technical work, experiments, and thoughts on the media I spend time with, from books and history to films and music. The aim is simple: keep things clear, grounded, and worth reading without overcomplicating them.
